Paper Puppets Giveaway

We've been featured in press around the globe thanks to them, and now we have all the new styles of Furze Chan paper puppets at Shak-Shuka! Besides the fact that we're giddy with glee to have them in the store, we've also been creating impromptu puppet shows with our new friends - the Wallaby and Sheep - the newest additions. These stunners are not just for kids, but can be used in decor around the house, popping up in pots, hanging out in vases and standing up in a Japanese sand garden.

Life has been so hectic around here that I've slacked off on the giveaways! But alas, this week we're back with a vengeance and I personally think it was worth the wait. Then again that's easy for me to say!

English Muffin Decor Giveaway

The power of social media is beyond belief in my opinion - things like Twitter and Facebook have enabled me to connect with people and businesses I would have otherwise missed out on. English Muffin is one of those wonderful "Twitmet" (that's a new term that I've coined: combination of kismet (fate or destiny) + Twitter) experiences: one follower leads to another which then blossoms into a business rapport! English Muffin is the brainchild of a Canadian living in Austria, creating recycled eye-catching prints. The response for our super eco-friendly potties has been unbelievable. It's like we hit the market at the right potty training time for all those green-minded families! Sink Your Teeth Into This Giveaway!

 I don't know if you've been following us on Twitter or Facebook, you'll know that we have heaps of new stock coming in all the time. If you don't follow us already, you should! Anyways, enough self-promotion........

One of the delightful new additions to our collection is this adorable Tooth Fairy Pillow made from organic wool and cotton batting, and a handy little pocket in the back. Although my daughter is light years away from losing her first tooth, I am waiting for the day so that I can use this pillow! As a child growing up, we used to put our freshly-fallen tooth in a plastic egg cup near our pillows in hopes that the Tooth Fairy would take our tooth (yuck! poor lady) and in return give us money (talk about a sweet deal!). I don't know if this Tooth Fairy tradition exists outside the US, but you can always start one yourself with this heartbreakingly cute pillow!
